Ambiguity.

Visual ambiguity · the ambiguity of words

These works explore the space between what is seen, what is assumed and what language leads us to expect. Sometimes the ambiguity lives in the image; sometimes it sits in the title, the wording, or the gap between the two.

The eye sees one thing. The mind supplies another. Words can make the distance wider.
